THE WAY IS THE BRAHMI “I”

From 2 to 6 August 2023, the symposium “The Future of Dharma” took place at the Zen Buddhist Centre “Johanneshof”. I was able to give a lecture on “Zen calligraphy” and spoke about the verses “The way only transmits the character ‘i’, poetry usually laughs into the blue clouds” from a poem by the poet-monk Guànxiū (832–913).
